Vitamin D is good for the soul

Last year, Kevin's brother Jake and his wife Jess announced that they were moving to Arizona for his job and my heart hurt a little bit. Most of Kevin's family lives in Utah and I've always enjoyed the gatherings with all of us crammed into the Cheesman living room. We knew that we had to visit Jake and Jess at some point and figured that February in Utah was a PERFECT time. I know that February is the month of love, but when it's bitter cold and the streets are filled with muddy slush, I kind of have more of a hateful feeling inside....? Needless to say, the Arizona sunshine did us some good. It was so refreshing to soak up that vitamin D, while having long conversations with Jess by the pool. Mabel wasn't a huge fan, seeing as she was born last summer and has hardly seen the sun. Sometimes I question why I live in Utah and then I look out my window and see the mountains... but man, I'm a summer girl through and through. Honestly though, I fantasize about taking Mabes to the swimming pool and having BBQs this summer on a daily basis. I'm glad I have this video to get me through the next couples of months. Okay, enough about me blabbering on about warmer weather. Documenting our travels has become a hobby of mine. I simply like to remember. Every time I look back on a video, the memories suddenly come flowing back. The people, the food we ate, even the smells. I know one day Kevin and I will want to remember the experiences we had together and I want my children to remember them as well. So cheers to more memories! and videos! and sun! (please, let there be sun soon.)

  2. What city did you visit?! My little family is moving to Glendale in August and are going down in a few weeks to visit and look for housing. Where did you eat that you loved and what did you do?! The Butterfly place looks like fun :)

    1. I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to you! We visited Scottsdale :) my favorite part was the butterfly museum for sure. Top golf was also really fun! We ate at bosa doughnuts (to die for), culinary drop out, and I honestly can't remember the others 😁 Sorry, I'm not much help! I'm excited for your adventure though, I would love to live in Arizona.
