A silent battle

I have anxiety. I always have.. I'm constantly checking my list of things to do, thinking I won't pass my next test, and worrying about the future. This week I made it a goal to enjoy life. Two words that have changed my utter being. Each time a worry or fret enters my mind.. I think to myself, "enjoy life."

I've found that when I choose to live in the moment, as opposed to stressing about what I need to do next.. I'm much much happier. I've ridden my bike, picked fresh flowers from my mother-in-law's garden, and watched Parks and Rec with my boy this week, all without a care in the world! So if you're a white-knuckled personality like myself, try to enjoy life a little more. It'll work wonders.

  2. I have a bad case of anxiety too. There is always a todo list. Something that helps me, is that even if something is NOT on my list, I add it to my list after its done just to cross off and feel good:) Pretty flowers, by the way.

  3. I could have written this post, this is me to a T, even down to adopting that mantra. I've got the same results too, I find myself soo much happier these days too. But yes the struggle is real, I definitely feel you on this one. And it's hard in our society too because "do, do, do" and accomplish, accomplish, accomplish is seen so highly of so it's hard to remember that that's not really what makes us happy, you know? Anyways I'm rambling, point is that I totally get you and I think it's very commendable that you've been able to step back lately and let yourself relax a bit.
