I know there are a lot of bloggers out there who do fitness posts with tips on eating healthy, exercising, etc.. and I totallllly respect that, but it's not really my style.. you know? In fact I'm going to do the complete opposite today, so instead of calling it "Fit Friday".. We're just gonna go ahead and call it "Fat Friday." The thing is... Kevin and I both have a pretty bad sweet tooth (is that an oxymoron?) and we are fairly harsh critics when it comes to food. Well I've decided to share our favorite desserts with you. Ready for it? Because you'll probably gain ten lbs just from reading this post. Bon appetit!
Documentation of the best ice cream I've ever had from a little shop in Palmyra, New York. |
2. Kneaders rasberry bread pudding- My sister in-law introduced this little devil to me about a month ago and I'm hooked! Warning: it looks disgusting in the widow, but I'm telling you... after they pop it in the microwave and drizzle it with cream straight from the heavens above, you. will. die.
3. The Chocolate's cazookie- They call it a cazookie, or a skookie, pazookie, etc. Basically it's an underdone cookie smothered in vanilla bean ice cream. If you haven't been to The Chocolate, I'd highly recommend it. It's the coziest little joint filled with vintage decor and will take you right back to Sundays at grandma's house. Seriously though.
4. Chick-fil-A's soft serve- If you're trying to save your pennies and looking for a quick fix, Chick-fil-A will rock your world. I'm very particular when it comes to soft serve.. I can't handle the fluffy stuff (sorry McDonalds). In my opinion, Chick-fil-A and Jason's Deli tie for first place. They're the coldest, iciest, most vanilla-y cones you'll ever eat. Trust me.
5. The Sweet Tooth Fairy's sugar cookie- My sister works at The Sweet Tooth Fairy, which means I have to visit her right? and I mean.. it would be rude if I didn't purchase something right? It's a filthy habit, but they have theeeee best sugar cookies. Hands down. And if you're feeling a little crazy, you could go for the iced oatmeal cookie (my personal fav). With just a hint of almond in the frosting, your mouth will be screaming for more... did this just turn into a commercial? Anyway, they're really good.
6. Taco Amigo's fresh peach shake- This one is kind of tricky because they're only available for a couple of months during the summer, so keep your eye on that marquee. I'm Pretty sure I had about 37 last year. It's almost as if they have a grove of fresh peach trees behind the place, not to mention the per-fect consistency. Okay, this list needs to stop.
So there you have it! I'm not sure if this "Fat Friday" will be a regular occurrence, because we'll probably turn into whales if we keep it up.. but for the next time you're craving something sweet you can give one of these a whirl. Hope you guys enjoy your weekend!
no way, this is the BEST! YAY for FAT FRIDAY! ( I am with ya on that one)

haha I love this idea for a feature. Nice change from all the "I just went to the gym, etc blog posts". I mean nothing wrong with that, good for them but at the same time come on, ice cream vs running? Do we really even have to decide here?
