Homeade Oreos

A few weeks ago, I was asked to bring a dessert to our friend's bridal shower. The first thing that came to my mind was "crap, what could I possibly bring? I don't bake... maybe some candy?" Alright, I'm not that bad.. but I'm still an infant in the world of cooking and baking. (getting better, promise.) I did what any girl would do. I called my mom. She gave me a recipe from her friend that has changed my life entirely. If you would like to taste a little bit of heaven smashed between two chocolate saucers... follow the recipe below.

Combine:
2 devil's food cake mixes
4 eggs
1 1/4 C. canola oil
Grab a cookie sheet and cover with foil
roll dough into small balls
&
flatten them with a spatula
bake on 400 degrees for about 6 minutes

Combine:
2 bricks of cream cheese
3 C. powdered sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
(add a few drops of milk if needed)
cover and let it chill in the fridge

Slab some of that little bit of heaven on your
cookies and there you have it!
Enjoy friends.
